Now that the southern bridge project over the Fox River in Brown County is moving forward, planners are back at work.
The county’s Cole Runge says they have to update a study on an interchange with I-41, because it was put on hold in 2012. He says they also need to find a general location for the interchange, and finish their environmental study by October of 2020.
Runge says if they meet that deadline, the DOT agreed to include the interchange project in the larger expansion work between the Fox Cities and De Pere.
The interchange is expected to be between the Scheuring Road and Freedom Road exits.
The county held a meeting Wednesday night in De Pere, to update the community on the project.
