Students at St. Mary Catholic Schools in Fox Crossing will have better athletic facilities at the start of the next school year.
Athletic and Activities Director Matt Schoultz says they’re going to replace the current football field with a turf one for football and soccer. He says they’ll also put in an eight-lane track. He says there’s enough room for the track, so they don’t have to do anything with the stands.
The track will be light blue to match the school colors.
Schoultz says right now, the soccer and track teams have to go other places to practice.
The project is expected to cost more than $2 million, and the school already raised the money.
