The census is next year, and Outagamie County officials are starting to prepare.
Planning Director Kara Homan says a special committee will reach out to different community groups. She wants everyone to fill out their form, and feel comfortable doing that.
She says census counts help determine state and federal funding, along with representation at all levels of government.
The committee got together for the first time yesterday. The census gets underway in April.
