Two major projects in the Fox Cities are the big highlights from the past decade in the tourism industry.
The Fox Cities Exhibition Center opened almost three years ago, and the Community First Champion Center hosted its first events last month.
Convention and Visitors Bureau spokeswoman Beth Knapinski says they also give money to support smaller attractions, like exhibits at the History Museum at the Castle. Funding has gone toward the Loop the Lake trestle bridges and Bubolz Nature Preserve.
The Exhibition Center and Champion Center both cost more than $30 million to build. Revenue from the hotel room tax is covering the cost.
