A stabbing and police shooting at Oshkosh West High School earlier this month left some students running for safety.
It was one of the top local stories in 2019.
Winnebago County prosecutors say Grant Fuhrman brought a two-pronged barbeque fork to school, and went to Officer Michael Wissink’s office.
Assistant District Attorney Tracy Paider says the officer sat down at a computer to look up something for Fuhrman, and Fuhrman started stabbing Wissink.
She says Wissink fought back, shooting Fuhrman, and accidentally shooting himself in the forearm.
Both survived.
Furhman is charged with attempted murder.
