A 21-year-old Fond du Lac man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the murder of a Beaver Dam man.
Prosecutors say Nigel Schultz shot Bradlee Gerke 16 times in the back of the head and body, and buried him in a shallow grave. They say Schultz admitted that he killed Gerke, because he was going to turn him into police.
Schultz already had a significant criminal record with 10 felony convictions.
A Dodge County judge ruled that Schultz will never be eligible for parole.
