Pa Kou Thao, APNP with Women’s Health Specialists first joins us to talk about heart health in pregnancy and the effects of vaping.
We’re then joined by Nate Baldwin with Appleton Parks and Recreation. Nate gives us an update on the summer sign up timeline and he gives an update on the Project Play collaboration that Appleton has. We also get his take on a recent New York Times article that looks at Puerto Rico introducing regulations on organizers of youth sports, to help protect kids from excessive competition. Could this model work in the U.S?
We’ve learned that this weekend’s Walk Across Lake Winnebago is cancelled (but entertainment on land is still happening!) One of the organizations that would receive funds from the event is the Neenah-Menasha Fire Department Water Rescue. We hear from Assistant Fire Chief Jim Peglow on what their team does when it comes to ice or water rescues, and we also get an update on ice conditions on Lake Winnebago. You can still donate to water and ice rescue departments, by clicking here.
