Outagamie County will continue to accept refugees.
County Executive Tom Nelson says they’re officially notifying the federal government. The Trump administration is now requiring that.
Nelson says the county has a strong tradition of welcoming refugees. He points to the Hmong resettlement several decades ago. He says he can’t imagine the Fox Valley without them.
Nelson says nonprofit groups, along with the public and private sectors, have support systems in place.
