Appleton police say the girl killed last week was three-year-old Zyana Corbin of Appleton.
Her 27-year-old mother was stabbed, and she’s recovering from her injuries. The woman is pregnant.
Police arrested 25-year-old Demetrius Williams, and he’s expected to be in court this afternoon. Police say he was dating the woman.
Capt. Polly Olson says the family is asking for help with the cost of Corbin’s funeral. She says there’s a GoFundMe page. She says it’s been a huge shock to the family, both emotionally and financially, and the family would appreciate any help.
Police say Williams attacked the two, at an apartment in the 500 block of N. Kensington Drive last Wednesday night. Officers arrested Williams at a nearby gas station.
