A local hospital is the only one in the Fox Valley, and one of five in the state, to reach a certain level for stroke patients.
ThedaCare’s Neenah hospital is a certified comprehensive stroke center.
Dr. Todd Peebles says they can take care of people immediately. Time can be crucial for stroke patients, and he says the outcomes can be different, if people have to be sent to another hospital, a couple of hours away.
Peebles says they have coordinated care plans from different departments, including neurology and radiology.
