Health care providers around the state are being asked to limit coronavirus testing to just people with what appear to be the most serious symptoms.
Kim Goffard is a communicable disease nurse for Winnebago County, and she says patients who need to get a test will get a test. She says lower priority tests might take a little longer than higher priority ones, where someone might be seriously ill.
Goffard says there are limits on the number of kits the state hygiene lab can process every day, and a shortage of swabs that are part of the tests.
