There are six more ventilators at hospitals in the Fox Valley, thanks to an anonymous donation.
ThedaCare and Ascension’s St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton will receive $170,000 to buy them.
Ann Engelhard of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region says the donor was looking for something to do, to help. She says the need for ventilators really spoke to the donor, about how they could save lives and help health care workers.
Engelhard says it was emotional, throughout the process of telling hospital officials and workers about the donation.
