A judge is ruling the man charged with a cold case murder in Marinette County is not competent to stand trial.
Eighty-two-year-old Raymand Vannieuwenhoven is accused of killing David Schuldes and Ellen Matheys in McClintock Park in 1976. The Green Bay couple was camping.
Vannieuwenhoven wasn’t charged until last year, when prosecutors say they got his DNA and it matched evidence from the scene. He’ll receive treatment, and he’s expected to be back in court in late June.
