The Better Business Bureau in Appleton is dealing with a lot of complaints about phony companies trying to sell protective face masks.
Regional Director Susan Bach says fake websites are popping up, offering masks and protective gloves, but they aren’t really available.
She tells AM Fox Valley if there aren’t any reviews on the company, it could be fake. Bach suggests shopping online at familiar stores.
She says scammers are also impersonating health care workers. She says they claim they’re checking in to see how you’re doing, but they need your social security number.
