Oshkosh police say a hit-and-run driver drove into Lake Winnebago, while the victims of the crash were following him.
Officer Kate Mann says the suspect rear-ended a car with his SUV on S. Main Street, by 6th Avenue, around 10:45 a.m. today. She reports the SUV driver tried to take off, and he eventually drove off the boat ramp at the 24th Avenue launch.
Mann says firefighters pulled the man from the SUV, and he was taken to a hospital. The two people in the other car weren’t hurt.
