The DNR is investigating the shooting of another protected bird.
An osprey with a gunshot wound was found in the Town of Brazeau in Oconto County on April 1st. The raptor died a few days later at a rehabilitation facility.
A tundra swan was shot and killed last week in Outagamie County.
Osprey are a protected species. The penalty for killing one is a $2,300 dollar fine and the loss of hunting privileges for three years.
