Prosecutors are charging a Kaukauna man with attempted murder for an attack on an Appleton police officer.
49-year-old Troy VanGrinsven is accused of stabbing the officer outside of the downtown police station late last month. A second officer cut his hand while trying to grab the knife. They weren’t seriously hurt.
VanGrinsven is also facing charges of battery to a police officer and resisting.
