More land around Wequiock Falls in Brown County will be preserved as a natural area.
The Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust bought almost 75 acres downstream from the popular falls by the Bay of Green Bay.
Executive Director Deborah Nett says they’re planning some improvements. She says that includes resotration work and building up trails. Nett says they’re also going to put in a parking lot.
UW-Green Bay and local schools are expected to use the natural area for research and learning.
