Appleton’s biggest one-day event won’t take place on College Avenue this year.
The organizers of Octoberfest won’t hold the traditional in-person celebration on the last weekend in September, for public health reasons.
The group’s Eric Stadler says they’re looking to “reimagine” it, likely with some online events. He says organizers are still working on ideas.
The annual License to Cruise in-person show, with cars lining College Avenue on the Friday night, also won’t be happening. Organizers are also looking at an alternate event.
