The first community testing site in the Fox Cities will open next week on the main Fox Valley Technical College campus in Grand Chute.
Outagamie County Emergency Management Director Lisa Van Schyndel says the COVID-19 tests will be free. She says on Monday and Tuesday, only people targeted by health departments will be tested.
From Wednesday through Friday, anyone in the community with at least one symptom of coronavirus will be able to get a test.
Van Schyndel says it will be a regional site, and they’re partnering with Winnebago and Calumet counties. National Guard members will be taking the tests.
People won’t need an appointment to get a test from Wednesday through Friday. The hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Up to 300 tests are available every day.
The site is open to people living in Outagamie, Winnebago and Calumet counties.
