Coach buses lined streets around the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. Wednesday, including a couple from Lamers Bus Lines.
Controller Sherry Eisch of the Ashwaubenon-based company says Congress has left the industry behind in the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She says they had to lay off or furlough 99 percent of their workers.
About 1,200 coach buses from around the country were around the National Mall for Wednesday’s rally. Lamers brought buses from Wisconsin and Florida.
