Local governments in the Fox Valley are setting their own “safer at home” rules.
Winnebago, Calumet, and Brown counties are basically implementing the former state order until May 20th.
Outagamie County public health officer Mary Dorn says their county wants to follow the Badger Bounce Back plan, so their’s is in effect indefinitely.
She points out on Wednesday, about 400 people had at least one COVID-19 symptom, and got tested in the county. Dorn says that shows there is still disease in the community and that people need to take steps to keep themselves safe.
The cities of Appleton, Menasha, and De Pere also created their own orders.
Businesses in Fond du Lac County are all able to open immediately.
