Local public health departments have some recommendations to prevent the spread of coronavirus over the Memorial Day weekend.
Winnebago County experts are urging people to avoid gatherings of 10 or more people, or any gathering where you can’t maintain a physical distance of at least six feet from people not living in the same home.
Claire Paprocki of Brown County Public Health says they need to follow social distancing guidelines, if there are less than 10. She says even though there aren’t any restrictions in place, COVID-19 has not gone away. She’s urging everyone to remain vigilant.
Paprocki says people should use common sense, and think about others, when they decide what they should and shouldn’t do.
Winnebago County officials say there’s a moderate risk, if there are less than 10 people, and everyone practices social distancing.
They recommend only traveling for essential activities, and staying home as much as possible.
