Shots were fired in Green Bay last night, while protesters gathered to call for change after the death in Minneapolis of George Floyd.
Shots were fired around 10 p.m., near the corner of Walnut Street and Monroe Avenue, where a Marathon gas station was looted.
Hundreds gathered in Green Bay on Saturday and Sunday, and the protests were peaceful until Sunday night.
Police Chief Andrew Smith walked with and talked with protesters yesterday afternoon. Smith says when he saw the video, he was devastated and he was physically sickened in the actions that led to Floyd’s killing.
Protests were also held Sunday in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac.
