The University of Alaska System’s president is the only candidate currently in the running to lead the UW System.
The search committee will meet with Jim Johnsen again, and then the Board of Regents will make a decision.
UW System officials say a number of candidates dropped out, because they were concerned about being named publicly as a finalist, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
