Waupaca County prosecutors say a teen tried to commit suicide in a crash, but he killed the other driver.
Seventeen-year-old Logan Stedjee is facing a charge of first-degree reckless homicide in the death of a woman last Saturday in the Town of Bear Creek.
He’s accused of speeding when he ran a stop sign at Highway 45, and hit a pickup truck head-on, on Highway O. The woman who was driving the truck died at the scene.
Stedjee had minor injuries.
Prosecutors say just minutes before the crash, he sent a message on Facebook, saying he was going to crash his car and kill himself. They say he told a deputy he was depressed.
