The percentage of new positive COVID-19 tests rose for the third straight day, to 7.1 percent.
That’s the highest total since eight percent came back positive on May 20th. Yesterday’s total was 5.9 percent.
There are 457 new confirmed coronavirus cases, and 27,743 overall.
The state has 5,009 active cases, and that’s 110 more than yesterday. Seventy-nine percent of confirmed cases have recovered.
Hospitals report having 239 coronavirus patients, and that’s 10 fewer than yesterday. Another 146 patients are waiting for test results.
There weren’t any new confirmed deaths. The statewide total is 777.
Brown County has 49 new cases. That’s the most in the county in a single day since May 10th, when an outbreak at meat-packing plants led to a spike.
Winnebago added 12, Outagamie seven, and Calumet six.
Manitowoc has four more, Oconto three, and Green Lake two.
Fond du Lac and Kewaunee each have one more.
