Oconto County Sheriff’s deputies say an hour-long search for a missing toddler ended tragically.
Deputies were called around 7:30 p.m. Saturday to help look for the boy in a wooded area near the Oconto River, east of Oconto Falls.
The two-year-old was found unconscious in the river, about an hour later. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
