A woman was shot in the leg when her gun accidentally went off in the parking lot of a water park in the Fond du Lac area.
County Sheriff’s deputies say the gun was in her purse, and it got wet. They report the 32-year-old woman was trying to dry it off, outside Fondy Sports Aqua Park.
She was treated at a local hospital and released.
Deputies say she legally couldn’t carry a concealed gun, and they also plan to ask prosecutors to charge her with reckless endangerment.
