Past additions that were built onto a house in Menasha made it challenging for firefighters this morning.
Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue Shift Commander Dan Schultz says they were called to a home in the 800 block of Broad Street, and the back of the building was on fire when they got there.
Schultz says they were able to knock the flames down, but they got into open spaces, in areas where there had been additions.
A cat died, but no one else was hurt.
