While room tax collections are down, the city has enough money set aside to make loan payments for the Fox Cities Exhibition Center.
Mayor Jake Woodford says he’s not concerned because they built strong reserves in case the city would face unforseen circumstances at some point.
In February, the city had about $2.5 million in the fund for the Exhibition Center loan. The city is scheduled to make about $1.4 million in payments this year.
Three percent of the hotel room tax in the Fox Cities goes toward the Exhibition Center.
