A spokeswoman for the Oneida Nation says they support the decision to change the name of the NFL’s Washington Redskins football team.
Bobbi Webster says it’s a racist name, and the Oneida Nation has been fighting for more than 50 years to have teams drop Native American nicknames and mascots.
Webster would like to see high schools and other sports teams follow suit.
