Brown County Sheriff’s officials say the search of a convicted felon’s home lead them to a case of identity theft and fraud.
Detective Sergeant Roman Aronstein says Brandon Washington was on electronic monitoring earlier this year when a deputy found a gun at his home. A search found about 1000 blank unused checks, a credit card skimmer and checks on a printer.
Aronstein says Washington was working with a waitress at a Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant in Ashwaubnon to steal customer information. He says she would take pictures of credit cards and drivers licenses and send them to Washington who would pay her for the information. He was in court yesterday and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
