The state shattered the single-day record for new coronavirus cases, with 1,117.
The previous high was 978. There have now been 44,135 confirmed cases in Wisconsin.
The state is reporting 7.7 percent of tests came back positive. That’s down from 10.1 percent yesterday, and the lowest total since 6.6 percent last Friday.
The state is reporting 13 more confirmed deaths, bringing the total to 859. It’s the most in a single day since there were 14 on June 20th.
There are now 9,369 active cases, and that’s 332 more. That total has jumped 55 percent over the past 14 days.
Hospitals are treating 354 coronavirus patients, and that’s 14 fewer. Another 190 are waiting for test results.
Brown County has 86 new cases, Outagamie 26, Waupaca 15, and Fond du Lac 10.
Oconto added four, Shawano three, Calumet two, and Green Lake one.
