Congressman Mike Gallagher says he’s encouraged by the $1 trillion coronavirus pandemic stimulus package proposed by Republicans in Washington.
The GOP lawmaker from Green Bay tells Fresh Take it focuses on reopening schools, supporting jobs and companies, and job creators….and helping hospitals and health care systems.
The plan would reduce the federal unemployment payment from $600 to a maximum of $200. It might also be capped at 70 to 75 percent of a person’s previous income.
Gallagher opposes and extension of the current payment. He thinks it discourages people from working, and hurts businesses.
