The Waupaca City Council is putting in its own mask mandate just in case the governor’s order gets overturned.
Council members voted last night to put a plan in place that requires anyone four and older to wear a face covering. That’s a year younger than the governor’s mandate and it was requested by the school district. Only three people showed up in person to last night’s meeting to voice their opinion about a mask mandate but council members say they received more than 280 emails about the subject. They found 63 percent support a mask mandate.
