State election officials say voters have requested more than 900,000 absentee ballots for tomorrow’s primary.
That’s seven times as many as the last August primary in 2018.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission reports more than a half-million have been returned. The numbers are another sign of the coronavirus pandemic’s impact, with voters trying avoid catching it at the polls.
