Today is primary election day, and people voting in-person will see polling locations taking a number of steps because of the pandemic.
Wisconsin Elections Commission spokesman Reid Magney says there will be plenty of hand sanitizer, and tape on the floor for social distancing. He says people are encouraged to wear masks, but they’re not required under election law.
The commission reports about 900,000 people requested an absentee ballot.
There aren’t any statewide races on the ballot, but there are primaries for some local and Legislative seats.
