Students are back in the classroom in Brillion.
The district is having in-person classes five days a week for all students.
Superintendent Nick Madison says they’re phasing things in, to make sure students understand the safety protocols that are in place. The district plans to have everyone back by the end of the week.
Students have to wear masks, and kindergartners through eighth graders will stay in the same classroom.
He says families of eight to nine percent of students are starting the year virtually. The district set up cameras, so students can watch their classes as if they were there.
Madison reports all teachers are also in their buildings, and they’ve taken steps to try to make them feel more comfortable.
