Construction is starting on a large health care clinic on Appleton’s northeast side.
The Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Center will be part of ThedaCare’s Encircle Health campus. The Neuroscience Group and the Hand To Shoulder Center of Wisconsin are partners in the $144 million project.
Dr. Imran Andrabi is the CEO of ThedaCare, and he says it will have a specialty hospital, in-patient beds, in-patient and outpatient therapy, and a basketball court.
They’ll also have an assimilation apartment, so patients can get used to returning home, and they hope it will reduce the risk of falls and other injuries.
Andrabi thinks it will take 18 to 20 months to build the facility.
