Governor Evers disagrees with the criticisms from four law enforcement groups, over his comments on the police shooting in Kenosha.
The organizations sent him a letter, arguing statements from him and Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes were premature, judgmental, and inflammatory.
Evers says he sees nothing wrong with stating facts, and the facts were pretty clear in the situation. He says a Black man was shot in the back while he was attempting to get into his car, and that’s what Evers said.
Evers adds he’s also been clear that the investigation is ongoing, and more facts will come out.
He says he talked with some members of the groups, and they agreed to disagree.
