Appleton now has a community advisory board for the police department.
Mayor Jake Woodford appointed 25 members, and presented the list to the city council last night.
Police Chief Todd Thomas says he’ll bring community and national issues to the board to hear what people think. He says the mayor worked to put together a good cross-section of the community.
Thomas is working to schedule the first meeting.
He tells Fresh Take the department will also send a survey to the community about policing.
