A Neenah man told jurors he didn’t feel intoxicated or buzzed before a deadly boating crash on Lake Winnebago.
Brian Sullivan is on trial on two charges of homicide by drunk boating. Lauren and Cassandra Laabs were killed two years ago. Sullivan took the stand in his own defense this afternoon.
Defense expert James O’Donnell told jurors he believes Sullivan’s blood-alcohol level was around 0.07 at the time of the crash. The legal limit is 0.08.
A forensic pathologist for the state testified it’s likely Sullivan was legally drunk. His blood wasn’t drawn until 3-1/2 hours after the crash.
