After four years of being empty, the former Thompson Community Center in downtown Appleton is being used again.
The CORE church is opening on Sunday for its first public services.
Pastor Mike Novotny says they created a giant space in the middle with room for up to 500 people. There are also areas for kids.
He says they started renovating the 27,000 square foot building about a year ago.
Novotny likes the visibility their new location will give them. They sold their former church at the corner of Franklin and Superior streets.
