Deer hunters around Wisconsin are getting emails from the DNR, asking them to track what happens this fall.
The agency plans to reach out to more than 130,000 of them, for what would be its largest survey.
The DNR wants them to fill out an online diary for three days. Hunters will be asked to include how many hours they spent in the woods, how many deer they saw, why they passed up any shots, and how many they killed.
The survey started with the opening of the bow season last weekend.
