Drivers will notice some big changes when College Avenue re-opens between the Fox River Mall and Appleton International Airport.
Outagamie County Planning Director Kara Homan says they redesigned the four-lane divided stretch. She says it used to be like a freeway, but now it’s a more urban road, with a pedestrian path on the north side of the street.
Outagamie County held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new McCarthy Road roundabout this morning.
College Avenue is now open from Casaloma Drive to McCarthy Road. The final stretch, running west to the airport, should be finished next week.
