A suspect in the deaths of two people stabbed a Green Bay police officer in the face and then cut himself with a knife.
Both are in surgery and are expected to survive. Police say officers tried to stop the suspect around 6:30 a.m. and he crashed a car at the intersection of Dousman and North Broadway streets and then ran. That intersection will be closed for some time. Officers were called to a small apartment complex in the 500 block of Clement Street, south of University Avenue near Baird Creek Park, around 9 p.m. Neighbors reported hearing a fight. Officers found one person dead in a hallway and another dead in an apartment.
