A Homecoming week tradition is returning this year in Shiocton.
The dance and other activities are canceled because of the pandemic, but administrators will let seniors “toilet paper” the high school. The district put an end to that three years ago, because there was some damage to the school.
District Administrator Nichole Schweitzer says they’ll let the students have some fun this afternoon. She says there are so many restrictions and limitations in place because of COVID-19, that they thought they’d bring it back for the students.
The students agreed to clean up the mess tomorrow.
Teachers and staff will be there to make sure the seniors stay a safe distance apart, and they’re wearing masks. Schweitzer says she might even get in on the fun, with her own 10-pack of toilet paper.
