For the sixth straight year, the proposed budget for Outagamie County would lower the property tax rate.
County Executive Tom Nelson says they’re able to continue providing the same services, and help respond to the pandemic. He says they’re adding staff to the county’s health department, including an epidemiologist.
The tax levy would increase by 2.1 percent to nearly $63.5 million.
The tax rate would be $3.71 per thousand dollars of value. That’s down 4.1 percent. Property owners would pay $371 dollars per $100,000 of value for the county’s share of their taxes.
