Friends and family of the four men hurt after their mini-bus hit an elk on a Montana highway are raising money to help them.
Ryan Nystrom is a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy and Spencer Elias is a deputy with the Marinette County Sheriff’s Department. The crash sent them along with Austin Carter and Branden Forst careening off the road and 70 feet down a ravine.
They were air-lifted out of the ravine to different hospitals where they underwent surgery. Each has a broken vertebrae along with head and neck injuries.
